I was just notified about this website: Metro Developer which is a link to Metro’s Offical Blog of Transit Data and Technology including:
- Bikeways Data
- Metro Bus Lines
- Metro Bus Stops
- Metro Rail Lines
- Metro Rail Stations
Here is the link to the data download page: http://developer.metro.net/introduction/gis-data/download-gis-data/

Hi,
Yeah I tried again, to extract to a general location but this message keeps on coming up “File skipped unknown compression method”.
Any ideas?
Hi here,
I was able to download the bus stops without a problem from the Metro site. You need to unzip them first to a location that you remember, and then you’ll be able to view them with a GIS program like ArcMap.
I did not have a problem unzipping them with Windows.
Hi,
I was wondering when the Bus Stops Shapefiles will be updated? I downloaded them and could not extract them. Unless you have some advice on the extraction via a program, I’d appreciate the information.
Thanks
I was able to download these data from the link, actually, I googled the link.
Mark, is your contact Patricia Soto? I’m looking for the metro rail “proposed” lines shapefile, e.g. westside subway expansion.
I sent a message to Patrick Soto, my contact there, to see what is going on.
The link does not work. Just get an error message (“HTTP 500 Internal Server Error” in Internet Explorer and “Error establishing a database connection” in Google Chrome).
