The Institute for Spatial Economic Analysis (ISEA) at the University Redlands provides monthly updates of job growth for California. These are estimates but the maps are valuable.

I wanted to place this here while I attempt to contact them and gather an ongoing transfer of information to make the data available in raw form.

WorldClim

WorldClim is a set of global climate layers (climate grids) with a spatial resolution of a square kilometer. They can be used for mapping and spatial modeling in a GIS or other computer programs. If you are not familiar with such programs, you can tryDIVA-GIS.

The database is documented in this article: Hijmans, R.J., S.E. Cameron, J.L. Parra, P.G. Jones and A. Jarvis, 2005. Very high resolution interpolated climate surfaces for global land areas. International Journal of Climatology 25: 1965-1978.

The WorldClim database is under continuous development, please provide us with feedback if you find any problems. The current version is Version 1.4 (release 3). It is only marginally different from version 1.3.

You can download climate data for:

Current conditions (interpolations of observed data, representative of 1950-2000)
Future conditions: IPCC 4 from CIAT (recommended) or the older IPPC 3 data (downscaled from global climate model (GCM) output)
Past conditions (downscaled global climate model output)

Census Cartographic Boundary Files

We do not have this data; but since we get a lot of requests for census tracts or other census data for our County, it seems logical to have a link here. This data is available from the US Census Bureau. 2010 data is not yet available.
