ArcGIS Server’s caching capabilities at 9.3 provide a powerful method of enhancing the speed and usefulness of web-based GIS tools.
What I have found (from ESRI and experience) is that a critical piece during cache creation is the standardization of cache scales (the scales at which each cache is generated) as well as the tiling scheme. This will allow map caches from different services to “play together.” Without this standardization it will not work.
I have attached both the tiling scheme and the cache levels that I have used to generate the first of the County’s caches. It is also possible to load directly from our servers, which will make things a lot easier. If you want to do that, let me know. But here are two files that you can use to do this separately.
