Just got an update from Google about their data for the Mississippi flooding – the overlays of imagery are very powerful. Turning the imagery on and off gives you an amazing perspective on what’s changed. What’s also interesting to me is that even on the non-flooded imagery, you can see the lines where the Mississippi used to run, showing how the forces of nature end up getting their way in the end …
