The objective of the GIS Viewer is to publicize the County’s GIS authoritative data holdings and enable wide access to them through a powerful set of web-based GIS tools. The audience is mainly targeted for internal County employees but it is also available to the public. Please review the GIS Viewer Training Manual and/or training videos above for guidance.
And yes – this is a web-based GIS, providing broad, generic GIS capabilities, so users will need to understand GIS concepts including layers, etc. It isn’t designed to be simple, but instead designed to enable the full power of web-based geographic tools.
