It’s a quick read, and I think it provides a very good overview of the “cloud” and how ESRI is leveraging it, from Software as a Service (SaaS) to Infrastructure as a service. NAIP 2010 aerial imagery services (web mapping services) are now offered by the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG). The services are public and can be used to easily view the statewide USDA NAIP 2010 1-meter resolution imagery that was flown last summer. Hello, If you live in areas covered by LA County’s Public Works department, they have just released an iPhone application that has been coming for a while. It’s a nice application that was developed in-house, and which ties to their back-end tracking systems. I recommend taking a look at it, and if you have questions about it, I’d be happy to pass them along to the developers. Let me know what you think!
