Flood Hazard data from FEMA

fema_flood_hazardsIf you are looking for flood zone data, you can access the information from FEMA through the FEMA GeoPlatform.

Here is a link to the home page: https://hazards.fema.gov/femaportal/wps/portal/NFHLWMS.  At this site you can access the FEMA webmap to download data, and there are instructions on how to access FEMA map services for inclusion in applications as well as desktop mapping applications.

But here is the link to the REST service: https://hazards.fema.gov/gis/nfhl/rest/services/public/NFHL/MapServer

You can also go to the FEMA Webmap directly – click on a panel, where you can download the full County data.

I have downloaded the data for LA County.
