Estimated Prevalence of Serious Mental Illness

This data set contains estimated number of people with Serious Mental Illness for Adults and Serious Emotional Disorder for Children by the 2010 census tract in the County of Los Angeles in Calendar Year (CY) 2014.  The prevalence rates are calculated by the UCLA-California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) by age, gender, ethnicity and Federal Poverty Level (FPL).  These estimated prevalence rates are then applied by the LA County-Department of Mental Health to the CY population data by age, gender and ethnicity  to derive a count of number of people estimated with mental illness.

Is there a data dictionary for this?

I’m unsure which variable represent the prevalence according to area.

I see 1_15_prev, 16_18_prev, 19_20_prev, 21_25_prev, 26_39prev, 60_64prev, and 65_upperev, but it is unclear to me what those variables stand for.

    Thank you!
