Master Plan of Highways

The Master Plan of Highways was originally developed by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (DPW); it designates roadways in Los Angeles County by their planned capacity.  Categories include major highway, secondary highway, limited secondary highway, parkway and expressway.  Last updated, 4/20/17 for a plan amendment in the Santa Clarita Valley.

  • The files included here are GIS data files (in shapefile format). They are meant to be used with GIS software. See above for information about “Using GIS Data on this Site”.
    If you’d like to see the layers with our other GIS data, then use one of our GIS web mapping applications like GIS-NET3 or GP-NET. You can pan and zoom and turn layers on and off. They are available from this site: http://planning.lacounty.gov/gis/interactive

    Some of us can’t seem to open these zip files. Is there another way you can make these files available, like Adobe Reader?
