Trail-Related Facilities

This shapefile contains trail-related facilities, including equestrian centers, equestrian parks, rest areas, trailheads and staging areas. Some facilities are maintained by other agencies, but are shown here to demonstrate continuity throughout the county’s trail systems. Data was collected from July 2012 to January 2016.

This point layer contains trail access points, which compliments our trails layer. Access points are included for county trails, and trails maintained by other agencies.

Park planning areas are geographic boundaries in unincorporated Los Angeles County as defined by the Department of Parks and Recreation. Department of Parks and Recreation Trails (2015)

This shapefile contains existing county trails and proposed multi-use trails. Other agencies’ trails are also shown to show continuity, but only county trails information is maintained by the county. All existing county trails data was collected using GPS equipment and was collected from July 2012 to February 2015.
