Thanks to everyone who attended our meeting yesterday where Scott Gregory, CA State GIO, presented. Afterwards we had a unique opportunity to have a demonstration of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) – aka drones – in the DPW Courtyard.

In many meetings and events that I attend, networking and making connections has major benefits to collaboration, cooperation, and seeing what the best and brightest are doing. This year, thanks to Vijay, we’ll have a place to to this at the 2013 ESRI Conference.
The Los Angeles Regional GIS will serve as a forum for local and regional government agencies to collaborate and share information, ideas, strategies, best practices, and solutions and form partnerships with educational institutions, and State and Federal agencies regarding the implementation and management of GIS in Los Angeles County.
